Linda Rice Becomes the Winningest Female Trainer in Thoroughbred History
With Treaty Obligation's victory at Aqueduct on October 19, 2024, Linda Rice earned career win No. 2,511 — the most ever by a female Thoroughbred trainer.

Linda Rice made history at Aqueduct on October 19, 2024, when Treaty Obligation won the sixth race to give her career victory No. 2,511 — surpassing Kathleen O'Connell for the most wins by a female trainer in Thoroughbred racing history.
The milestone caps a career that began when Rice took out her trainer's license in 1987, and includes a long list of firsts for women in the sport — from the first Grade 1 win at Keeneland by a female trainer to the first training title at Saratoga.
